Setelah itu pelajari penempatannya dalam kalimat. Latih lidah, bibir, dan pita suara anda dengan kata-kata tersebut baik tersendiri maupun dalam frasa, kalimat utuh yang umum digunakan. Sebagai contoh, berikut langkah-langkahnya:&lt;br /&gt;a bacanya / ə /, an bacanya /  ən/ artinya bisa sebuah, seorang, seekor tergantung kata benda yang mengikutinya. Kita menggunakan a bila kata benda yang mengikuti berawalan bunyi konsonan (b, c, d, f, g, dll), sedangkan an jika kata benda yang mengikuti berawalan bunyi vokal (a, e, i, o, u). Kemudian buat dalam frasa benda atau kalau bisa kalimat utuh: a door, a dog, a goat, an apple, an owl, an hour, I have an owl.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pada tahap ini, kita jangan hanya mengenali secara tertulis tetapi juga secara terucap (tentu saja!) dan untuk mengikat makna, visualisasikan secara mental pada tiap kata tersebut.
